Tribute & Message From The Family

Patricia Ann Herrell, 66, of Jacksonville, formerly of Bald Knob, died Wednesday, February 10, 2016. She was born February 8, 1950 in Searcy to the late David Eugene and Betty Frances (Harrison) Rascoe.
She is survived by her daughters, Reginnia Head and husband Clark of Rose Bud and Kelly Drake of Bald Knob; two grandsons, Ian Christian and Tucker Head; two granddaughters, Anna and Joy Drake; a brother, David Rascoe and wife Brenda of Pangburn; a sister, Sherry Davis and husband Lyn of Pangburn; as well as many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 32 years, Ray Herrell and son-in-law, Chris Drake.
Pat enjoyed cooking, quilting, and making flower arrangements. Her love for flowers was so that during her time in Bald Knob she worked at Bald Knob Flower Shop crafting each arrangement with love and great detail. Pat's hobby of genealogy grew into a passion and she spent a lot of time researching the family history; her nieces and nephews, who she adored, would jokingly say "just call Aunt Pat she can tell us." She loved her family and in return was loved dearly.
Visitation will be held Saturday, February 13, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Bald Knob. Services will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Carter Cemetery in Russell. Arrangements are entrusted to Powell Funeral Home Bald Knob-Judsonia. www.powellfuneralhome.net

Condolence & Memory Journal

Reginnia, I am so very sorry to hear about Pat. We are spending the winter in TX and I just found out. Your Mom was so special...we had so much fun together at Foothills. My heart is saddened. I loved her.

Gina, Kelly, and families
As I sit here and watch Pat's memorial it seems surreal that she is gone. She was one of the strongest women I've ever known. Creative, witty, and mercy could she cook. I was little but I remember the day , she and Ray came to our house the first time and he introduced her as his wife, We loved her. She was family. I was blessed to have known her, and to call her my friend. Memories of Pat, and with her, will forever remain in my heart and mind. She will continue to live through both of you girls and through the grandchildren. I see so much of her in you all. Due to the weather, I am unable to travel down. I am there in mind and spirit.I pray the Lord wraps his loving arms around you all today as you say "see you later", I pray he gives you strength and peace in the difficult days to come. I love you all.

Pat will be greatly missed by immediate and extended family as well as friends and associates. She was a gracious hostess and always ready to come running if she was needed. One of the favorite spur of the moment destinations for Billy was to go see Uncle Ray and Aunt Pat. She would come in from a hard day at work, greet the family with hugs and start cooking a big meal. God bless you all with peace and happy memories.
