He has a sister Kalyn Hunter and a brother Chase Hunter both of Bentonville. Grandparents are Ralph and Shirley Hunter of Owasso Oklahoma, and George and Joy Oliver of Searcy Arkansas.
Blake loved family, travel, being on the stage and children. He had found ways to bring many of those together by teaching others whether it be in the classroom, traveling performance groups or with various stage productions.
Most recently he was a teacher at Cross Pointe Academy in Searcy Arkansas, where he taught theatre and he had just been offered a future role teaching and training young performers for Broadway shows in New York.
While a student at Harding University he was actively involved in many of the music and theatre programs as a participant and most recently as a staff choreographer for the annual Spring Sing extravaganza and Homecoming productions. He was a member of TNT men's club, Zeta Rho Beau and the Pied Pipers, a traveling children's performing group. Blake participated in Spring Sing each year and was honored to be chosen as Spring Sing Host in 2014.
Blake graduated from Bentonville, Arkansas High School where he was a National Honor Student, a 4 year varsity letterman on the soccer team as well as a member of Chamber and Acapella Choirs. In addition he was involved in numerous theatre productions throughout High School. He was a member of the Church of Christ and active in his church and youth group.
Blake traveled on several missionary trips to places like Chile, Mexico, Scotland and loved to impact the lives of those he touched.

Dear Steve and Dedra and family,
Our hearts break for you in this tremendous loss. Though we haven't been in contact in a very long time, we share history with Blake and Aaron being little boys together at Bentonville Church of Christ, and with your great support to us in the adoption of our children. Our love and prayers go out to you that you may feel God's comfort and healing.

Steve, Dedra, Kalyn, and Chase,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Blake was such a stellar guy. Always had a smile on his face. So genuine, talented, funny, loyal and faithful. He was a great soccer teammate to Allen, and was so welcoming to Allen when we moved to Bentonville in 2004. We were so saddened to hear that Blake had been sick and passed away on Saturday. Our hearts are heavy, but we know that Blake is in Heaven now with our Lord and Savior.

Much love to you, and we will continue praying for you.

Steve, Dedra, Kalyn and Chase,

There are no words that we can say to take away the pain, but our comfort comes from the Lord. Prayers for you all as you wake up everyday and do life. Prayers for peace, comfort and grace be yours. Blake touches many lives and although he touched ours at a younger age, it's evident by whats been said that he remained the same sweet, respectful, funny and talented young man that we knew all the years ago. Prayers go with you everyday!

Thoughts and Prayers

Posted by Joe and Christy Slocum - Bella Vista, AR - Friends   January 26, 2016

Blake was a regular at our Wednesday night Home Bible Study, taking his place at our dining room table with his Piper/theater/music buddies, where much joy and laughter flowed week after week. In my opinion, he delivered some of Harding's most memorable stage performances in recent years. If Blake was in a show, I made a point not to miss it because I knew it would be outstanding. I am still stunned at his sudden passing and am reminded that every day and every person is so very precious. My deepest condolences to his family.

Blake was one of the kindest and most genuine people I have ever met. Right when I moved to Bentonville, he was one of the people who made me feel comfortable and welcome right from the start. He had the most infectious personality and anytime he was around, the room lit up. I will always remember his smile and laugh and how he could turn anyone's day around. I will remember so many memories from soccer, choir, forensics and more. Rest in peace, Blake. You will be forever missed.

My heart goes out to you all. My memories of Blake go from that sweet little kindergarten face to the young man performing with the Pied Pipers on Apple Glen's stage. He touched so many lives and was such a sweet man. My prayers are with you.

Blake was the sweetest most caring young man I have ever met and I was lucky enough to call him a friend. I met Blake through choir and theatre back in junior high and high school. There was always something special about him, he had a light that would brighten up any space. He constantly brought happiness into this world. He had a lovely voice and had amazing stage presence. In true fashion, as a child of God, Blake would "raise people up" with his caring, loving words and actions. Blake was inspirational and someone everyone admired.
